Remote editing for
Good Good.

Good Good hired me to edit remotely. My part changes depending on the video and what the other editors need.

I’ve worked on golf edits, challenge sequences, graphics, tracers, and thumbnails. The finished videos are a team effort and have reached millions of views.

01 / MY ROLE

Joining the editing team.

I had to learn their editing style and get comfortable handing work back and forth. With this much footage and several editors on a video, keeping the project organized matters.

Working remotely

Adapting to the team

I learned how the team cuts golf and handles the humor so my sequences would fit with the rest of the video.

Footage & asset management.

I downloaded the footage, organized the media, and kept track of what needed to be delivered and when.

Timelines ready for the next editor.

I delivered organized sequences the other editors could bring into their projects without having to rebuild them.

Support beyond the edit.

Sometimes the team needed graphics or tracers. Other times it was thumbnails or animation. I could pick up those jobs alongside the edit.

Four teams.
One race.

My responsibilityI edited the challenge and travel footage, following four teams as they raced between locations and completed objectives. The tricky part was cutting between teams without losing track of who was where or what had happened.

Two storylines.

My responsibilityI edited all of the golf, moving between two teams competing at the same time. I also designed and animated graphics to track where the teams were on the course and help viewers follow both storylines.

My responsibilityI edited the golf and game-show sequences, deciding when to stay with the play and when to cut to the conversations and reveals.

My responsibilityI edited all the golf footage for both videos, choosing shots and conversations and cutting between the cameras so viewers could follow the round. For the Good Good Pros video, I also created the animated player name and score graphics and the scoreboards.
